Earn You a Six-Figure Income with Blogs
The advancement of the World Wide Web has brought upon us several kinds of income opportunities that we have never seen before! I just read about a kid who has made $1.5 billion! Ordinary mom and pop have generated over $200,000 per year selling their cooking recipes, while high school students are suddenly being looked upon as political advisors!
Just few years back, building your presence on internet through a website could cost you thousands of dollars, something that most of us unable to afford, but today, you can build your presence online for free using what is popularly known as blogging.
Blogging, most popularly known as online diary, has exploded in popularity in recent years. People with no web design and development skills whatsoever can start blogging in just 5 minutes. Thanks to the recent free popular service called blogspot.com, blogging has never been easier!
The Income Potential of Millions Dollars
I remember that just few years back in 2006, there was this 23 years old school dropout kid making 5 figures income every month from blogspot.com. From that day onwards, I knew that there is a potential of earning millions of dollars from blogging.
The ever growing popularity of blogging in recent years just confirmed my belief. Can you imagine working from anywhere, at anytime and being paid $100,000 per year simply for writing blog posts? Actually, there are several people who earn even more than $100,000 per year from their blogs!
Share Your Ideas With The World
Perhaps, just like me, you too love to write and want to share your opinion with world. A blog can make your dream come true. People from different countries can read your blog. You can share knowledge about anything, from political issues to teenager issues. What is even more interesting is the fact that you can build friends from many different countries from the comfort of your bedroom!
The First Step Toward Your First Million Dollars
Don't have any capital to invest at all? Don't worry; you don't need money in order to setup a blog. You can start blogging using blogspot.com which is a free blogging service!
Personally, I prefer wordpress.com; nowadays web hosting has become very affordable and most good web hosts will have a 1-click install feature for Wordpress, so you don't need to mess around with technical issues! If you ask me, I prefer doing business and making money rather than handling these technical issues.
Once your blog is setup, you can join several affiliate programs in order to promote their products on your blog and make money every time a visitor buys a product from your affiliate link. Just go to associateprograms.com and clickbank.com and you will find many different products you can promote, ranging from music to satellite TV!
Being an affiliate means that whenever someone buys a merchant's product through your link, you will get paid. Once you sign up with each of these affiliate programs, you will be given a unique link which you can embed into the content of your blog post. The rest of the game is very simple: just keep posting good content on your blog and get backlinks from fellow bloggers!
As a matter of fact, this is how the 23 years old kid about whom I told you earlier in this article could make 5 figures income every month!

What You Should Know About Running Multiple Blogs
At some point in your blogging career, there will come a time when you will have to choose between running multiple blogs and a single blog. This decision is however, not an easy one to take. There are advantages and disadvantages for both sides. Let's discuss it first from the point of view of advantages.
Advantages of Running Multiple Blogs:
1. Leverage Your Income
If you're like me, you rely mainly on blogs for your primary source of income! As such, the more blogs you are able to create, the fatter would be your paycheck! Let's put an example: if one blog earns you $200 per month, running 10 blogs will earn you over $2000 per month! Can you imagine how much you could earn if you had 100 blogs?
2. Better Influence
A blog represents your online presence. For some people it is not the monetary gains which motivate them to write blogs; rather, it is the kind of exposure, the influence they would have is what makes them interested.
Take the case of one of my friends; he doesn't care if his blog earns him any revenue or not, he just enjoys writing about ozone issues. If you are like him, you might find that the more blogs you have, the bigger would be your influence!
3. Multiple Source of Income
There is an old adage that goes like: "never put all your eggs in one basket". This rings true for blogs as well. By having multiple blogs you will feel safe and won't gave to worry if anything bad happens with one of your blogs, since you have other sources of income!
Now that we have discussed 3 popular advantages of running multiple blogs, let's discuss the disadvantages as well.
Disadvantages of Running Multiple Blogs:
1. Limited Time
If you are working 8 hours a day just like me, you might find it difficult to write posts for 100 blogs regularly. The maintenance issue should become your primary consideration here. Yes, there are softwares which can help you by automating this part, but to some degree you will still hold the main responsibility for the content of your blogs.
2. Getting Burnt Out
Unless you are a very talented writer, writing for multiple subjects can make you run out of fresh ideas very quickly. In this case you might want to write only on one or two topics that you know very well, rather than writing on 100 different subjects you know nothing about!
3. Quality Issue
Running multiple blogs means dividing your attention among multiple projects. This can result in the decrease in quality of your blog's content. You might want to focus on writing 1 or 2 articles rather than scribbling 100 posts. After all it is the quality of your blog's content which matters at the end of the day!

Why Video Blogging Cannot Defeat The Text Blog
In recent times, the development of World Wide Web has been so fast that it seems as if we have entered the new era of the so called web 2.0 in the blink of an eye. Promoted widely as the new breed, web 2.0 has quickly gained popularity with several inventions such as video blogging and podcast, just to mention two of those inventions.
In spite of its seemingly growing popularity, the question remains whether a video blog is more popular than a text blog, I find this issue quite intriguing; in fact, not just I, even several popular newsgroups and forums have been discussing it for several months.
Personally, I don't think video blogging will ever defeat text-based blog. In this article I will give you 3 reasons why I think so. Reading this article would open your eyes to some new and exciting business opportunities you may not be aware of!
Reason No 1 – We Have Only So Much Time
With video blogs you need to spend at least 5 to 15 minutes on each view. Well, I don't know about you but for me who works 8 hours a day, I can't afford to spend 15 minutes to watch videos about which I know nothing! The story might be different if your job is to review such videos on net but for me, the lack of ability to skim through the main content of the video blog is the primary issue that should be taken care of first.
Reason No 2 – It Is A Matter of Personal Preference
Depending on the subject, video blogging may have a great advantage. For example, videos are great for music or tutorial type blogs. Some people have a better ability to learn by watching than reading, and to tell you the truth, I am the type who can absorb things more quickly while watching.
For music blogs of course podcast becomes the primary medium for delivering content. It is a lot more interesting to hear the music rather than reading the lyrics; however for most of the subjects other than music or tutorials, video blog is simply a waste of your valuable time.
Reason No 3 – The Cost of Producing High Quality Video is Still High
I remembered watching a self-made video about a DJ a week ago! It was done by some teenagers from Los Angeles, and to put it bluntly, this video is simply the worst I have ever seen! Creating high quality videos with good sound control effects and lighting, not to mention presenting popular shows, is still considered to be under the budget of most of people.
I remember reading advertising on one forum offering custom video creation services at the cost of $60 per video.
Without all of those issues being handled properly, it is unlikely that video blogs will ever dominate text-based blogs.
